Paul E Collier, MD, FACS
Dr. Collier has been caring for patients with venous and vascular disease for over 30 years. He is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon and is a member of the prestigious Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Collier is also an active member of the American College of Phlebology and the highly elite American Venous Forum.
Dr. Collier graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975 and is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine class of 1979. He received the Merck Award for clinical excellence while at Yale.
Dr. Collier underwent his general surgery residency training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where he served two years as Chief Resident. He then went on to further his training in Vascular Surgery where he completed his fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Upon completing his training in 1986, Dr. Collier has been performing major vascular surgery and venous procedures at Heritage Valley Sewickley in Sewickley, PA.
Dr. Collier has published over 30 articles in the medical literature including articles about the treatment of venous disease. He is the author of four text book chapters. In 1986, he developed the non-invasive vascular laboratory at Heritage Valley Sewickley and currently serves as the director.
Dr. Collier is the founder of the Sewickley Vein Center. He has performed over 10,000 vein procedures and for the past four years he has personally trained both American and International physicians regarding venous procedures. He is very facile at performing non-invasive procedures using the guidance of ultrasound.
